In every country, pediatric dermatology is a very frequent motive of consultation and represent an important part of child healthcare.

The International Society for Pediatric Dermatology assembles experts over the 5 continents . The ISPD needs for communication tools as this new website dedicated to skin care in children.

The ISPD web site offers to the physician (pediatricians, dermatologists or general practitionners), useful and validated informations coming from international experts , but health care givers and public can also be interested in.

The ultimate goal of the web site project is develop of an effective communication support for the promotion of pediatric dermatology worldwide

Content of website

Several sections are presented : some are dedicated to ISPD members and some are open to the public.

The ISPD members can open every sections especially :

  • The calendar of worldwide meetings in the field of pediatric dermatology
  • The atlas with images of the principal children skin diseases
  • A press overview made monthly and put on line every three months. This section will be animated by a team of volunteers and will propose a list of principal international publications in the field of pediatric dermatology associated with relevant comments
  • A section “season lecture” realized as from the presentations made by the opinion leaders about a clinical subject or pediatric therapeutics
  • A section ‘research' listing all the current research projects and the coordination of laboratories or concerning services
  • A quarterly newsletter “season letter” will indicate the updating of the website and will invite to read the press section and “season lecture”.

Who is in charge of the ISPD website?

However the mailing of the newsletter will be free, a registration form will have to be completed with email address of the visitor and some more data about the identity (age, country, profession and address – optional).
